Barber-Scotia College
What we published: The profile and the HBCU Wiki directory described Barber-Scotia College as one of only two historically Black women’s colleges in the United States, alongside Spelman College.
What is correct: Barber-Scotia was founded in 1867 as Scotia Seminary to educate Black women and has been coeducational since 1954. The two historically Black colleges for women are Spelman College and Bennett College.
Source: Barber-Scotia College institutional history; our own profile of the college already recorded the 1954 change, and the summary contradicted it.
