Lincoln University, BA. Howard University Law, JD. As chief counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, argued and won 29 of 32 Supreme Court cases — including Brown v. Board of Education (1954). Solicitor General of the United States. First African American Supreme Court Justice (1967 – 1991).
